At our salon in Perth, we fully acknowledge that it can be overwhelming for a child to get their first piercing. This is why we created the Double Operator System. It is a procedure where both ears will be simultaneously pierced by two Piercing Specialists using the Needle Free Push Through Sterilear System to ensure a quick and instant procedure.
Looking After Your Child’s Pierced Ears
Looking after your child’s pierced ears at home is very important, as improper care could result in prolonged healing and other problems. We recommend our 2 step Sterilear Piercing Spray system which has been designed to provide optimum healing for your child’s pierced ears throughout the healing process.
Step 1: During the first and second week after piercing, use the Sterilear Clean Piercing Spray to sterile the area 2–3 times a day. Please note that you or your child do not twist, turn or rotate the jewellery or touch the piercing, as this will remove the healing scab and may spread harmful bacteria.
Step 2: For the third and fourth week, use the Sterilear Care Piercing Spray 1-2 times per day to boost healing and provide a bacteria-free environment.
Ear lobes can take approximately 4-6 weeks to heal, and sometimes longer, it is recommended to not change the jewellery before this time.
